Remember the melodic dubstep that Seven Lions popularized when he first started breaking into the scene in 2014/15? On his new song Only Now (lyrics by Tyler Graves) we hear sound design and rhythm reminiscent of singles like Strangers and Worlds Apart (2014).
It’s just that Seven Lion’s solo work hits way different than any of his 2019 collabs. Keep in mind that this is his first solo single since his 2018 Start Again EP. Seven Lions’ previous 8 singles were all collaborations.
New Seven Lions has well approached female lyrics just like the previously mentioned Worlds Apart EP from 2014. Watch out for a trance breakdown in the beginning and another towards the end forcing listeners to zone out or feel a state of trance. The drop is useful when Seven Lions found an opportunity to land back into reality. All kinds of dance moves to be created Only Now.
This past week Seven Lions was also double confirmed for Electric Daisy Carnival 2020. First he will be performing his signature Seven Lions set on main stage Friday. Later on Saturday he will be performing as the psy-trance trio Abraxis.
