Earlier yesterday the 2014 Winter Olympics began in Sochi, Russia with quite the entrance. In the midst of technical difficulties during the opening ceremonies with some of their event production, we quickly found ourselves sitting in front of the T.V. watching a Russian Police choir take a stab at covering Daft Punk’s Get Lucky. Surprised? Not at all, especially after how big this song quickly became across the world taking over commercials, dance floors, radio stations and beyond.

The choir took a more proper, slightly less funky approach to the most ubiquitous song of 2013 (Rollingstone). A little different than what we’re used to but none the less we give them ultimate props for taking the stage and entertaining with Daft Punk’s newest classic.
