As we continue to ponder the alluding identity of the increasingly popular ZHU (did we mention he just popped up in Sydney?), a couple of remixes surfaced yesterday of the mystery producer’s sexy, deep house track Paradise Awaits. One of these remixes was by the Australian indie dance trio RÜFÜS DU SOL Don’t fret if you are unfamiliar with RÜFÜS or haven’t listened to much of their music. They have an incredible knack for flying under the radar. With tracks like their Paradise Awaits remix, that won’t happen for much longer.
The Paradise Awaits (RÜFÜS DU SOL REMIX) stretches the builds of the original by combining Zhu’s dreamy lyrics, incredibly euphoric deep house chords, a thumping yet smooth kick and of course, the obligatory maracas. The song drops into a smooth sub bass that is completed by a nice clap and tambourines. This song is sexy, intimate and will leave you seeking someone out on the dancefloor. Just let it happen.
RÜFÜS DU SOL is in the midst of a North American tour that started earlier this week. Luckily they are making their run through the Pacific Northwest by playing at Venue Nightclub in Vancouver B.C. on October 16th, Chop Suey in Seattle on October 17th and Branx Nightclub in Portland on the 18th. RÜFÜS is a must see if you enjoy live electronic performances.
