The Rise & Shine FamJam Fundraiser is back for it’s fifth year with a couple of surprises from the organizers! First off, the “party with purpose” has moved to Princeton, BC from its former home in the Sea to Sky region. Secondly, the event will be getting a bit longer! There will be two days and nights of music rather than being a one day, one night event.
While announcing the festival’s return, the organizers simultaneously dropped a lineup which featured a breadth of local talent including names such as Seattle’s Fort Knox 5, Vancouver duo Average Citizens and up and coming Vancouver Twitch artist New Girl.
The 5th annual Rise & Shine FamJam Fundraiser takes place from September 8th to 10th in Princeton, BC. Festival tickets purchased for the 2022 event will be honoured as full festival passes. Tickets will be available for purchase on Eventbrite in three tiers. Tickets in the Early Bird tier are $150; Tier 2 are $175 and Tier 3 are $200 – all prices in CAD.
The Rise & Shine Foundation and Tixel have partnered for a safe, scam free way of acquiring aftermarket tickets. In addition to the aforementioned partnership, Rise & Shine have created a Facebook page to facilitate ticket resales.
The festival was forced to move from the Sea to Sky region due to unfortunate circumstances. Meaning that attendees close to the original festival site will have slightly longer travel time. However, to make up for that there will be twice the amount of music on a singular PK sound powered stage. A quote from the organizers below:
We have always kept our pricing as low as possible to provide maximum accessibility, and of course, every single dollar of profit is donated to sending underserved youth to the Rise x Shine mentorship programs. The past few years have been difficult, but every time we Rise & Shine together, the world gets a little lighter and a whole lot brighter.
