10. The Gaff

With a collection spanning over 10,000 records, The Gaff is as much a talent on the decks as he is in the studio. Known for seamlessly combining the sounds of hip-hop, jazz, funk, electronic and everything in between, he’s also known for dropping an all 45 set from time to time as well! Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

9. Illvis Freshly

Victoria’s music scene may be small compared to nearby cities, but when it comes to raw talent; this island community can definitely hold its own; and leading the charge are DMNW friends Illvis Freshly! Known for their unique brand of party starting, thought provoking hip-hop, Illvis Freshly is making noise across the country, and they’re kick starting this year’s Rifflandia with the opening performance on Thursday night. Do yourself a favor and make sure you’re in attendance!

All the way from NYC, The Beatnuts are as well known for their accomplishments in the studio as they are for their contagious stage presence. Brash, in your face, and always ready to get the party started, you can expect The Beatnuts to provide some top shelf production, as their heavily sampled beats grab your ear and draw you in.
