Richie Hawtin and friends will be reviving the CNTRL College Campus Tour this spring – a unique dance music experience featuring workshops and guest speakers, followed by performances later that evening. The CNTRL Tour will be visiting eight college campuses around North America, hitting up the University of Washington on Wednesday, April 22. The event will be hosted at The Neptune, with Dubfire, Chris Liebing, and Ean Golden joining alongside Hawtin for the Seattle stop.
The daytime events are free and open to the public, beginning at noon. The itinerary includes a market fair showcasing the latest production equipment, a masterclass hosted by a special guest producer from the tour, and a discussion panel with Hawtin and guests. The show itself begins at 8 p.m., with tickets on sale on Friday, March 19.
If you weren’t able to witness Hawtin’s return to Seattle for Decibel Festival this past summer, don’t miss your chance to watch him in action. The German techno don hopes to inspire and educate fans who attend the CNTRL Tour on a variety of music topics, such as music production, emerging technologies, and the business side of the EDM industry. For anyone aspiring to become a producer, this event is a must! How often are we afforded the opportunity to pick the brains of world-class artists?
I hope that people walk away from the CNTRL tour with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the individual creativity that each artist & performer puts into their own shows. We hope that some of the participants and fans will be inspired to take their next steps at trying their hands at their own creativity.
