We all remember Rhapsody, right? Fun fact: This particular online music bank is actually based out of Seattle! Like many other online music subscription services, Rhapsody is fighting hard to stay above water in a world where downloading new tracks to your iPod is easier than point and click. So what steps have been taken to ensure the longevity of their hard-working team? Rhapsody has officially announced they have invested in a company that will specialize in monetizing DJ sets.
The company is Dubset, and although they haven’t disclosed how much Rhapsody has invested in their project, Rhapsody did go on record to say they have, “more exciting news to share”. Will Dubset mixes be coming to Rhapsody subscribers? We don’t know yet, but one thing is for sure, this is an exciting new direction for them, and we can’t wait to hear what they have to say next.
