Isabelle Rezazadeh, known by the stage name REZZ, is taking the world by storm. Over the last year, the young artist has emerged for her unique, dark sound in the electronic music scene. We’ve followed her closely since her festival performances in 2016. We love the dark elements of her Something Wrong Here EP, and had a blast on her subsequent tour with Malaa. Now, REZZ is in the midst of headlining her own ‘Something Wrong Here’ Tour. Even while on the road, REZZ has produced several new releases, including a collaboration with k?d and her newest track Matrix.
Matrix released on February 10th through Zeds Dead’s label Deadbeats as a part of the Deadbeats Compilation Vol 1. The album features artists including Zeds Dead, Megalodon, Nebbra, and more. REZZ rings true to her dark and atmospheric sound with Matrix, which incorporates staccato drums with underlying spacey tones. It resonates with the sinister techno-bass sound that is present in tracks such as Purple Gusher and Voice in the Wall. The broken percussion throughout Matrix allows for the vibrant, somewhat chaotic wub to reverberate with the atmospheric sound, which further showcases the laser-reminiscent and spacey sound effects. You can get Matrix and the rest of the Deadbeats Compilation Vol. 1 on Spotify and iTunes.
With this new release, we’re even more ecstatic for REZZ’s ‘Something Wrong Here’ Tour at Celebrities Nightclub on Sunday. Tickets to the show are sold out, but there are a limited number of tickets available at the door. You can also check the event page for people unable to go at the last minute.
