Bro Safari
Bro Safari, also known as Nick Weiller, is another friendly face Northwest dance music fans may already be familiar with. He played at Lucky 2014 and Paradiso 2013, as well shows in Portland each of the last two years. The Atlanta native, who also goes by Knick and is a member of veteran drum & bass trio Evol Intent, began his solo project in 2011 and has seen nothing but success since. The self-described ‘veteran bass peddler’ dabbles in moombahton, trap, dubstep, and anything else he wants, making for a great live show. Right at home in the ‘Enchanted Forest’ bass stage, check out Bro Safari for one of the most enjoyable sets of Resolution 2015.
Zomboy
There’s no such thing as too much Zomboy, and the fact that he’s returning to the Northwest after performing at Paradiso 2014 isn’t something we’ll complain about. Zomboy, also known as Joshua Mellody, even made a special connection with the Northwest’s premier summer festival, releasing the festival mix of a track he wrote on his way to play at The Gorge Amphitheater. The track, entitled Paradiso, is available as a free download and was a ‘Thank You’ from Zomboy to his fans when he surpassed 1 million likes on Facebook earlier this year. His debut album, The Outbreak, is one of our favorites of the year and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate the new year than by raging to Terror Squad and Nuclear.
Alvin Risk
Another member of the Paradiso 2014 bass crew who will be at Resolution 2015, Alvin Risk will be ‘venturing’ into next year in the Northwest. Risk released his fifth EP, entitled Venture, in November and will be going on a 10-city North American ‘Venture’ tour beginning in January. Resolution attendees will likely get a peek at what Risk is working on for the upcoming tour, and we’re excited to see what Risk ‘tries out’. He featured on Skrillex’s debut album Recess with hit collab Try It Out earlier this year, and the Washington D.C.-native is capitalizing on his past success.
CRNKN
Working with the likes of Flosstradamus, 20-year-old Gabe Baer, also known as CRNKN, is learning at a rapid pace. Specializing in trappy bass, the New Hampshire-native is currently based out of the West Coast dance music mecca that is Los Angeles. Not a lot is known about the young producer, but after listening to his Diplo & Friends mix, we know we want more. The young producer obviously still has tons of room to grow and improve, and we’re excited to witness part of the journey this New Year’s Eve at Resolution 2015.
