Not many EDM artists are fortunate enough to be able to say their first major festival appearance was Coachella, but not many artists are as unique as Galantis. We wrote earlier this year about the auditory bliss that was the Galantis Coachella set, lovingly dubbed Seafoxchella. Galantis just released the music video for Help and it is a beautiful retelling of their Coachella story. We get a bit of a behind the scenes look at what went into setting up their performance as well as what it looks like from their vantage point of the crowd. We’re thrilled to be able to count them among the artists who are incorporating live drumming into their sets. There was very clearly magic happening in the Gobi tent and we are thrilled to be able to get a bigger taste of it.
In a world of over-produced music videos, Help is a refreshingly raw, authentic feeling video and it just adds to the reasons we love Galantis. They quickly came on our radar with their EP, and we’ve been watching them closely ever since. Not only are their lyrics uplifting and joyous, as they promised when they tell us “help is on the way,” but their actions are just as beautiful. You may recall that earlier this year Galantis joined the Human Rights Campaign’s Equality Rocks Campaign. The Swedish duo will certainly be ones to keep watching this year. Needless to say we’ll be jumping on tickets as soon as a PNW visit is announced!
Give Help a viewing below, and let us know what you think. If you’re one of the lucky ones who was there, does it adequately capture the Coachella magic?
