Our favorite French dance music prodigy just keeps getting better and better. His latest track, Technicolor, is 6 minutes of genre-bending, massive soundstage overload. In Madeon’s words, “…Today I’m releasing a new song called Technicolor. I’ve been working on it for a while. My goal was to tell a story through dance music using a longer structure than what I’ve done before. Hope you like it!”
The track doesn’t fail to deliver on the promise of a journey. What doesn’t this song have? Tribal drums, Daft Punk-style vocoder vocals, Asian-inspired synths, guitars, thick, crunchy bass, flying arpeggios, huge atmospheres – all produced with the trademark Madeon sheen that’s become so indicative of his unique style. Technicolor dips and weaves in and out of styles, regularly revisiting the war drums motif established in the beginning of the track. Combined with high energy and a bounciness that is immediately recognizable as Madeon, we present to you one of your last summer feel good tracks before the seasons start changing. If you don’t see a sunset in your head by the end, you need to listen again.
Enjoy! We promise you won’t be disappointed with this one!
