Over the last two weeks, house music icon deadmau5 has been on a musical creation warpath, churning out just about a song a day. Some are 1-2 minutes, while others run upwards of 10-20, with each turning out better than the preceding track.
His latest release entitled, “Pets 1&2” is something we can only describe as some of the most beautiful house music we’ve heard all year. Its runtime is just over 12 minutes, and it pretty much defines the idea of doing a lot with very little. Take a listen for yourself and try not to weep openly. Trust us, it’ll be a struggle.

Have you never heard progressive house before? Sure, this isn’t big room, mainstream house but it IS still house. To my ear it sounds similar to John Digweed, who is definitely a progressive house artist.

Not trying to hate, but this shit aint house and deadmau5 is not a “house icon.”
Just change house to EDM. All will be well.
