Ray Volpe drops 8 official remixes for “Laserbeam”

Bring out the lasers! By now, everyone in the world and their mom has heard Laserbeam at least once. Just when you thought it might finally be fading away, fear not! Ray Volpe recently announced a remix album featuring eight unique reiterations of the track from the likes of Blanke, Sullivan King, Eliminate, Good Times Ahead, YOOKiE, 4B, Stumpi, and Egzod.

Each take on the original, ranging from mild and subtle changes to complete overhauls, stretch the popular track across many of the subgenres in today’s EDM.

Our favorites from the batch are the remixes from Blanke, Eliminate, Stumpi, and Sullivan King.

Blanke’s track is a lightspeed drum ‘n’ bass track from his Aeon:Mode project that is sure to get your heart pumping and dance mode activated. If you want loud and full of theatrics, look no further than the screamo king Sullivan King with his bass boosted and metal-guitar infused bone-chilling solo to take your through the depths of hell.

Stumpi, Wooli’s tech house alias, released a Laserbeam remix that saw it’s debut at Bass Canyon on Day 3 during Stumpi’s set at the Hilltop stage, proving that bass artists can and should make house music too! The Eliminate remix provides a fresh electro house spin that is guaranteed to get you moving. It also has three separate drops that feel like completely different songs, and we highly recommend this one!

The GTA remix infuses Latin style drums and is the most abstract sounding remix of the bunch. 4B’s remix is an interesting spin with a trap styled beat to get you jumping and fist pumping. Egzod remix takes the Laserbeam remix on a future bass spin, along with melodic synths that invokes feelings of euphoria. YOOKiE remix is perhaps the most similar to the original, slowing down the original dubstep track and highlighting the laserbeam sounds and the sick guitar solo at the iconic drop.

All of these remixes are fun reiterations of the 2022 dubstep anthem, and will keep our ears busy until it is the 2023 festival season. Ray Volpe is also on the lineup for Beyond Wonderland PNW at the Gorge 2023, and who knows what he will have released by then!
