Zombies. Jokers. Waldos. Even Santa! Thousands of wonderful characters, ranging from cute to downright scary, descended upon the Tacoma Dome this weekend for USC Event’s 20th annual Freaknight Festival. The Halloween spirit was very much in the air. Some of the featured performers joined in on the fun too, dressing, and playing, in their spooky best! As we prepare for a night of trick-or-treating, we take a look back at Freaknight and ask: which artist wore Halloween best?
5) Frontliner
One of hardstyle’s finest sported creepy skeleton face paint that, like his day one closing set, was menacingly good.
4) Morgan Page
Morgan Page took us on quite a journey during his main stage day one set, and even dressed for the occasion- rocking a pilot outfit! We’re hoping he makes another flight the Pacific Northwest in the near future to deliver some more beautiful tunes.
3) Armin van Buuren
Incorporating frightening shrieks, bloody visuals, and plenty of hard-hitting psy during his co-headlining set, the godfather of trance was all about the Halloween spirit. He took things even further, sporting a face-splitting costume that is as graphic as they come!
2) Nervo
Is it possible to look scary AND stunning? If so, the Nervo sisters definitely pulled it off with their clown looks. They weren’t joking around when it came to Freaknight this year, throwing down a memorable, high energy set that had everyone at the twisted big top jumping up and down!
1) Martin Garrix
DJ Mag’s new #1 also happens to be the #1 on this list, sporting a wizard costume that features a beard so glorious that it puts Albus Dumbledore’s to shame.
