The vision Majors and Q have for this new night is ambitious to say the least. You’d be hard-pressed to find a club bold enough to come out and actively subvert a format that’s made a lot of people a lot of money in just the last 3-5 years. And yet, here we have a Seattle venue that’s taking the unsung artists of Burning Man camps and music festivals, and making them the main attraction. The music, while still important, is merely another weapon in the wide arsenal that Madness possesses.
In an environment where “everything can be a part of the expression,” there are virtually no limits to what it can be on any given Saturday. Just remember to come with an open mind and heart, and it’ll be hard not to be impressed with not just what you see around you, but with what you experience throughout. For a night birthed from a need to raise our standards in a whole new way, some people may call it crazy. Q calls it Madness, and us? We call it something you’d be doing a disservice to yourself by not experiencing firsthand.
Madness takes place every Saturday at Q Nightclub. For more info and up-to-date news, follow Q on Facebook and Twitter.
