BBC Radio 1, home of the well known Essential Mix, rang in the 2015 new year with Eric Prydz and Jeremy Olander early on January 3rd. The 2-hour Essential Mix features a string of released and unreleased tunes from both artists as well as a visit from their aliases including Cirez D, Pryda and Dhillon (Olander).
Eric Prydz had a big, big, big 2014. In-between dominating the Vortex stage at Ultra Music Festival (click here to view pictures and to watch his set), Epic 3.0 at Madison Square Garden, and releasing multiple chart-topping releases, Prydz now takes the opportunity to show his fans that 2015 is certainly going to be his year as well. We found ourselves dreaming frequently of Paradiso two summers ago when he rocked the main stage at Paradiso Festival (come back soon, sir).
Not too far behind Prydz, Pryda star Jeremy Olander continues to pave his own musical journey. Last year he became the only other artist, other than Eric Prydz himself, to release on Pryda Recordings. 6 stunning tracks including his Progressive House EP Jackie were delivered last year by Olander, and he also made the official debut of his second musical alias known as Dhillon. Olander even headlined at Seattle’s very own Foundation Nightclub. Were you there? We sure hope so.
What a way to kick off the new year! We couldn’t be more excited for what these two power (progressive) house artists have up their sleeves for 2015. Don’t forget to share your thoughts below, and click here for a free download.
