One of the best things to happen to 2020’s progressive house scene is the return of Project 46. After four years, Canadian natives Ryan Henderson and Thomas Shaw reactivated their old project early last month. We’ve missed this duo’s dreamy and uplifting sound. For fans, it seems like they’re picking up right where they left off!
Delivering two new singles Remember You and Somebody New, Project 46 is already hitting us in the feels. Pouring out more of their emotional, one of a kind vibe, Project 46 personifies the way euphoric music makes you feel inside.
Breaking their hiatus with Remember You felt like receiving a hug from a long lost friend. Project 46 layers this track with whimsical melodies and nostalgic vocals that speak from the heart. Telling a tale of heartbreak and acceptance, we’re left with goosebumps. Vibrant synths bounce alongside the beat, building into an almost emotionally cleansing drop. Remember You takes us back to the prime time of this progressive house sound.
Just weeks after their surprise return and release of Remember You comes Somebody New with BYNON. Sure to be the next summer anthem, this track was meant for festival season. Soulful vocals detail the difficulties of toxic relationships and the challenge of “cutting the ties.” Sometimes, we have to find a way to move on and find Somebody New. From emotional lyrics that lead into euphoric drops, this track makes you want to dance! Check out both of Project 46’s latest releases below!
Arriving on the scene in 2011 Project 46 quickly claimed their place among the greats. Releasing music on prominent labels such as Monstercat, Armada and Mixmash, they captured our hearts. One of their best known collaborations, Last Chance with Kaskade made a lasting impact on the progressive house scene. As 2020 marks Project 46’s comeback, they have more scheduled releases on the way- including another exciting collaboration with Kaskade! After the duo’s hard work in the studio over the past four years, we can’t wait to hear what comes next!
