Low Steppa
Low Steppa is a major player in bass music and has been for years. Running his own label, Simma Black Records, and performing at major venues around the world, Low Steppa is keeping up his success in every realm of the industry. He’s worked under a handful of aliases and loves a good collaboration. Despite all of the attempts to divert attention, Low Steppa manages to shine through, regardless of the work he’s doing. If you’re looking for one of the highest quality sets of the entire festival, from start to finish, check out Low Steppa’s Northwest debut at Paradiso.
Amtrac
At first glance, Caleb Cornett from Morehead, Kentucky doesn’t sound like the most likely candidate to be a DJ. But if we’ve learned anything in the Northwest music scene over the years, it’s that first glances don’t mean shit. Cornett, better known as Amtrac, performed in Seattle twice last year, and also had stops in Portland and Vancouver in 2014. Beginning his career in 2008, he’s compiled an impressive catalog of original tunes and remixes that have ushered him to the early-career success he’s been able to attain. We’re glad he’s decided to return so quickly, and hope that Paradiso pushes him toward future Northwest appearances as well.
Motez
Australian-based artist Motez will be doing an incredible Northwest double the weekend of Paradiso. He’s slated to perform at Paradiso, of course, and will also be performing at Foundation Nightclub on Friday, June 26th (day one of Paradiso). According to his summer tour poster, June 26th is labelled “Seattle – Paradiso Fest.”, while June 27th has him scheduled for a show in Boston. We understand modern-day travel makes many things possible in the world of dance music, and a Northwest-double consisting of arguably the top two venues for their purpose is quite the utilization of those possibilities. We’ll know for sure what Motez’s plans are once the set times are out, regardless of how it works out, you should find a way to catch one of Motez’s Northwest shows this summer.
