EDX
Swiss artist EDX has performed around the world and we can’t wait for him to add The Gorge to his long list of amazing venues. Also known as Maurizio Colella, EDX is another of the artists slated to perform on the cancelled second night of FreakNight 2014 who is making up for it in the best of ways. Signed to Spinnin’ Records, and releasing a made-for-dancefloor sound that’s earned him sets in front of crowds at the world’s most renowned nightclubs and festivals, there’s no reason you should be missing his set. You can catch his ‘No Xcuses’ podcast each week for a taste of what to expect, and once you do, you’ll be penning EDX into your Paradiso plans.
Galantis
The sun is setting just over the horizon, and the sky is painted an unimaginable blend of pinks, yellows, reds, purples, and blues as the air-brushed clouds wistfully taper into a warm Northwest summer night just beyond the mainstage – THINK I CAN FLY, THINK I CAN FLY, WHEN I’M WITH YOU…
Galantis at The Gorge is a dream lineup inclusion for many, especially after their set was one of the many that were missed due to the cancelled second day of FreakNight 2014. The progressive house duo are natives of Sweden and are no strangers to the spotlight. Made up of Christian Karlsson, of Miike Snow fame, and Linus Eklöw, collaboration project Galantis hit the ground running and isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
Putting on one of the performances of the year with Seafoxchella at Coachella 2014, the duo have done nothing but couple their massively popular performances with hit after hit. You, Smile, Gold Dust, and Runaway (U & I) have become radio and festival-set regulars, and we can’t wait to hear them at our favorite venue. We won’t be missing Galantis’ Northwest debut, and there’s no telling when they’ll be back, so we hope you’ll join us!
Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano
Hey! Dutch artists! Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano are two of the never-ending list of young talented acts coming out of Holland. After meeting in Amsterdam in 2006, the duo have embarked on a progressive house journey that has led them to performances around the globe. Somehow, they’ve managed to avoid the Northwest all these years, but if there’s a better place for a debut than The Gorge, we haven’t found it. Their high-energy and experience at festivals make for the perfect combination for Paradiso 2015, and we’ll be ready for their set this summer.
Kap Slap
Jared Lucas, also known as Kap Slap, is a 24-year-old artist from Lexington, Mass., who’s grown his name in the prime EDM demographic of college students. Earning his degree from Lehigh University and utilizing the college-scene to cultivate and share his sound, the future is now wide open for Kap Slap. A classically trained musician who’s touch on mash-ups is 3lau-worthy (seriously), Kap Slap’s set at Paradiso 2015 will gain him a bunch of new fans, and we expect that trend to continue for the New York City-based artist. If you’re looking for a set full of fun that’ll have the entire crowd singing and dancing from start to finish, Kap Slap is a must-see.
