Armin van Buuren
The King is back. Finally. With his last performance on Northwest American soil coming at FreakNight 2012, trance legend Armin van Buuren is making his return in the grandest of fashions. Featured as one of six headliners, Armin will dazzle the Northwest at The Gorge mainstage this summer, and join the likes of Bassnectar, Afrojack, Avicii, Above & Beyond, Kaskade, Tiësto, and more as major artists to perform at the continent’s most beautiful venue. Even Armin, whose list of global performances is unrivaled, knows how special this set is going to be.
The Armada Music label boss and ASOT creator has firmly planted himself atop the trance hierarchy, and his loyal subjects will come out in droves at Paradiso. We know we’ll be there, joined by the Northwest trance family, and thousands more. Definitely one of the ‘don’t miss’ performances, not only at Paradiso, but in the entire Northwest this year, Armin van Buuren at The Gorge is the type of thing dance music was made for.

Dash Berlin
Another trance superstar who last visited the Northwest at FreakNight, but in 2013, is Dutchman Dash Berlin. Featured as one of the six headliners at Paradiso 2015, the native of the Netherlands will be making his debut at The Gorge. If it’s anything like his set at FreakNight 2013, us Dashers are in for a treat. He’s a trance mainstay who broke out with fan-favorite Till The Sky Falls Down in 2007 and has shown his ability to dabble in various relams of electro and progressive house as well. Undoubtedly one of the most talented and successful dance music artists of the last decade, Dash Berlin is another typically incredible inclusion on one of the Northwest’s top festival lineups of the summer.
Ilan Bluestone
London’s Ilan Bluestone is helping make up for his missed performance from the cancelled second day of FreakNight 2014 by joining the all-star crew of trance artists at Paradiso 2015. Although he more than accounted for a night of trancey goodness after FreakNight last fall, by putting on one of the performances of the year at Foundation Nightclub that same night. He hasn’t been a stranger to the Northwest in his young career, but like all performances at The Gorge, this one will be special. Working on the famed Anjunabeats label, Ilan is in good hands, and so is the future of trance. He’s a superstar in the making and we’re betting his Gorge debut joins a growing list of incredible Northwest performances in the years to come.
John O’Callaghan
Another of the massive wave of European artists performing at Paradiso this summer, Irishman John O’Callaghan is an inclusion that will make all of the Northwest’s trance family happy. JOC is a veteran of the dance music scene and is one of several names responsible for making trance what it is today. O’Callaghan was last in the Northwest performing in Vancouver in May of last year, while his most recent show in Seattle came in late-2013 at the Last Supper Club. Beginning his career in 2003 and releasing his first album in 2007, JOC knows trance, and when he brings his signature ‘Subculture’ sound to the Gorge, those in attendance won’t be disappointed.
