G Jones
The Northwest is getting a double-dosage of G Jones this summer, with performances at Paradiso and Shambhala on the schedule for the Santa Cruz-native. His brand of trap blends hip-hop, UK Grime, and more while consistently expanding our palettes with new sounds. His productions are must-haves for playlists everywhere and his tunes are always finding their way into major artist’s festival sets this time of year. He was last in the Northwest in October of 2014, and will hopefully make festival appearances in our corner of the country a regular occurrence in the future.
Luminox
Phoenix-based trap artist Luminox has been successfully mixing the finer aspects of bass music and hip-hop for several years. Releasing a bevvy of originals and remixes over the years, Luminox has consistently built his reputation and polished his sound. He’s no stranger to Seattle, with five performances in the Emerald City since 2013, and another in Portland as well. Joining the rest of the impressive trap acts at Paradiso, Luminox will be gaining more Northwest fans this summer.

Party Favor
Trap artist Party Favor has been bringing the twerk since 2011 and has released tracks on major labels including Ultra, Spinnin’, and Mad Decent. The Los Angeles-native has had his tunes featured in sets from top acts like Jack Ü, Diplo, Borgore, and more, putting him on-par with the best of the best in trap music. He’s performed at TomorrowWorld and Beyond Wonderland, and Paradiso 2015 will be one of many major festivals he’ll be adding to his resume’ for the foreseeable future.
Yellow Claw
Another of the major acts that many were disappointed not to catch at FreakNight 2014‘s cancelled second night, Dutch trio Yellow Claw’s redemption at Paradiso will be witnessed by many. A fan-favorite who’s range of genres goes from trap to hardstyle to moombahton and everything in between, Yellow Claw is a set that, if you want a specific spot, you’d better arrive early. Many in the Northwest were looking forward to their debut in our region last fall, and now that they’re finally making their return, we won’t be missing them again. Their live-sets are renowned around the world and getting the opportunity to watch them at The Gorge is something every Northwest raver should take.
GTA
Duo GTA consistently live up to their ‘Death to Genres’ philosophy, expanding our idea of trap on a continual basis. Made up of Julio Mejia and Matt Toth, the Miami-natives haven’t stopped garnering praise or exploring new sounds. Energetic performers who have featured at major festivals throughout North America and beyond, GTA will be bringing the party to Paradiso 2015. They’ve performed once at Paradiso before, joining one of our favorite lineups in recent memory in 2013. They won’t be overwhelmed by the moment, and their set will undoubtedly be one of the most energetic of the festival.
