There have been several changes to MusicFest NW over the years of its existence, but this year one of the biggest changes of all is happening. In the past, MusicFest NW has taken over a number of venues around Portland. This year, the festival is moving to its new home at Tom McCall Waterfront Park and will feature two stages, featuring acts such as Girl Talk, Phantogram, Run The Jewels, Future Islands, and more on Saturday, Aug. 16th. On Sunday (Aug 17th), acts like Spoon, Haim, Tune-Yards, Fucked Up, and more will grace the two waterfront stages for MusicFest NW.
Recently, we made a list of festivals in the Northwest we recommend you checking out. At #4 we listed MusicFest NW, and rightfully so, especially after these great announcements. With the festival now being held outside this year and some very prominent acts on the bill, we can’t wait enjoy a weekend-long festival down by the water and make this a summer to remember!
