Cage The Elephant
Ever since the release of their self-titled debut album 5 years ago and the release of their hit song Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked, Cage The Elephant have dominated not only radio stations all around the nation, but festivals and venues around the nation as well. Fast forward to 2014: Cage The Elephant have just released their third album, Melophobia, and have released a list of memorable songs you can’t get out of your head, like Shake Me Down, ComeA Little Closer, Take It Or Leave It, and so many more. Cage The Elephant is known for their intense and highly energetic live show and we can’t wait to see them perform in such a special setting. Catch Cage The Elephant on Day 2 (Friday).
Metric
Metric has been together as a band since 1998, originally with only 2 members: James Shaw and Emily Haines. In 2001, Metric added Josh Winstead and Joules Scott-Key to make Metric a full band. It wasn’t until 2010 the group really began to shine with Help I’m Alive, and then took things further with Gold Guns Girls. Metric has their own unique sound along with the angelic voice of Emily Haines, putting them in a league of their own. After Metric released Synthetica in 2012, we knew Metric was the real deal with hits like Youth Without Youth and Breathing Underwater. Catch Metric on Day 3 (Saturday).
Modest Mouse
Hailing from our own backyard of Issaquah, Washington, Modest Mouse formed over 20 years ago. Although the band hasn’t released an album since We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank in 2007, Modest Mouse has been touring select festivals around the states recently and instantly sold out their upcoming show at the Showbox Market in Seattle. Having been working on a new album for quite some time, we can only guess that Pemberton will get some brand new music from the legendary band. Catch Modest Mouse on Day 4 (Sunday).
Young The Giant
There are few bands that can make an impact as much as Young The Giant has in just a few short years. Taking the stage as festival headliners just years after their debut album, it’s incredible what Young The Giant has achieved in such a short period of time. Their new album Mind Over Matter also shows how much the band has grown as far as their sound goes. Needless to say, we’re excited to witness what this band can do in a live festival setting. If you like some really good indie rock, you will want to check out Young The Giant.
