The seemingly endless spreading of dance music’s ever-growing tentacles across the globe is finally making it’s way to Eastern Washington in a consistent fashion. Spokane-based Partybros announced a three-stop tour throughout Eastern Washington this summer, featuring foam, fun, and great local lineups. Generally, Northwest ravers making their home on the “other side” of the mountains have been forced to travel lengthier distances than friends in the greener areas of our region. Whether it’s Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Boise, Salt Lake City, or beyond, plenty of Northwest ravers outside of our metropolitan hubs have put in hours on the road to make the memories we cherish so dearly.
Spokane has managed to bring in artists and shows on a regular basis over the years, but even those tour stops are generally on the back of shows taking place in Seattle, Portland, etc. Over the years, Pullman has grown into an interesting site for certain artists and tours, while the consistent growth and potential in Tri-Cities is something that somebody needs to take advantage of.
Some are trying, though, as USC Events had great success with their FreakNight Travelling Circus tour last fall, which stopped in Eastern Washington cities like Spokane, Pullman, and Ellensburg, while also stopping in Eugene, Portland, Boise, and Seattle. The bass-heavy Safe In Sound North American tour also made a couple stops in Eastern Washington last year, giving the Columbia Basin and Spokane Valley a taste of the good life.
In 2015, we’ve seen the likes of Infected Mushroom and Caked Up perform in Spokane and Tri-Cities (Antiserum, too, but he cancelled due to illness). Leading the wave of shows is Spokane-based events company Partybros, headed by Beau Howard. You may know him better as Northwest-favorite Beauflexx, who’s performed throughout the Northwest at major festivals and local clubs from Billings to Bellingham, and everywhere in between. Now he has a treat for all of his friends in Spokane, Pullman, and Tri-Cities.
The type of show that would generally require a hotel stay and several hours of travel coordination will now require much less effort for the Eastern Washingtonian. Partybros announced a three-city tour, stopping in Spokane, Pullman, and Tri-Cities. The shows in Spokane and Pullman will be featuring headliner 1DAFUL and a slew of locals that any Northwest dance music fan will appreciate, while the lineup for the show in Tri-Cities is TBA. The tour, deemed ‘Summer Splash’, is 18+ and will feature two foam machines and a foam cannon (full of biodegradable, hypoallergenic, non-staining, unscented foam) at each of the stops.
Get the info for each of the stops below, including links to purchase the insanely cheap tickets. The first tier of $5 early-bird general admission tickets have already sold out for the Pullman and Spokane stops, and there’s no doubting the $10 will be gone soon as well. Tickets cost $25 at the door, so even if you’re a procrastinator, the shows are affordable. Physical tickets will be available soon, and when they are, you’ll be able to purchase them at local Puffin Glass locations.
