The Paradox: Well Worth the Price of Admission

HOLY WOW! After over a month of waiting, and watching the countless videos from the unveiling of Excisions new stage, The Paradox, we’ve finally experienced it for ourselves. Honestly, it’s hard to put words to truly explain the experience. Not to mention photos and videos do absolutely zero justice. Jeff and his team have without a doubt raised the bar for touring stage production.

The Paradox tour officially kicked off this past weekend with back to back, sold out shows in Vancouver. Despite the limitations of the venue, we were presented with a scaled version of The Paradox, and are still processing what we witnessed. Taking up nearly every square inch of available space, we were bombarded with stunning, lifelike, crystal clear visuals, accompanied with 150,000 watts of pK Sound. We’ve seen massive screen stages before, but we can promise there’s nothing quite like this on tour. The Paradox is truly a spectacle of lights, video and sound.

The entire rig packs down and travels from each venue in not one, but two fully loaded semi-trucks. The massive screen and DJ table are framed up with an array of full motion lights adding the final piece to the puzzle. If your mind isn’t blown within the first 30 seconds, remind yourself that it’s being accompanied by a full 150,000 watts of pK Sound. Don’t forget to bring your earplug to this one, you’ll need em’!

Following Vancouver, X brought the Paradox to Spokane full a full out onslaught of bass. While the obvious main attraction of The Paradox tour is Jeff and his latest creation, we shouldn’t forget who Excision is touring with. Rounding out the tour are both Bear Grillz and Figure who equally bring the filthy bass and make this tour 100% worth the money. We can say without a doubt that Excisions set was the best we’ve experienced…outside The Village Stage at Shambhala of course.

Up next for The Paradox in the PNW will be Eugene followed by Portland and Boise. If you haven’t picked up a ticket yet we highly encourage it, and if you have…you’re in for a treat. Hope everyone has a chance to experience The Paradox and we’re looking forward to seeing Excision make his return to The Village Stage at Shambhala 2016.
