Paradiso 2016: Your Definitive Guide to Buying Tickets

Festival season is beginning to kick into full swing, and with it comes the first chatter of news concerning Paradiso. Ever since it first started gracing the Gorge back in 2012, it’s become the premier destination for all Northwest ravers come June, getting bigger and better with each successive year. We’re still a ways off from this year’s festival, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start planning now, thanks to information released by USC Events.

We’ve broken it down in a series of helpful menus below, giving you a one-stop shop for everything you’ll need to plan that perfect Paradiso. Take a look for yourself now, and hop on quickly! Tickets are on sale now while supplies last, and the closer we get to a lineup announcement, the more likely it is that a sellout happens sooner rather than later.

Before we dig into the specifics here, it’s important to keep in mind that with every year, expenses for virtually all festivals go up. Booking artists and constructing stages isn’t cheap, and ticket prices are typically set to reflect this. That being said, the price bump for Paradiso 2016 isn’t far off from last year’s number. A GA ticket will run you $199 on Ticketmaster without figuring in for fees (which will likely bring the total closer to $220-225).

If online buying fees aren’t your thing, don’t fret — $170 tickets are available at select retails outlets now. That being said, quantities are limited across the board, so be sure to call ahead to see if and how many tickets are available should you go this route.

[accordion-group title=”Camping”]

There are four options for camping: Standard, Premier, Gold, and Terrace. Premier, Gold, and Terrace have all been known to sell-out within the day they go on sale, and all three have a strict 6-person-per-campsite limit. Standard is virtually guaranteed to not sell out.

Camping Purchase link: http://livemu.sc/1VheEjJ

Standard ($99.50/vehicle)

Let’s just say there’s a reason Standard camping is nicknamed “District 9.” This is where a bulk of the campsite partying goes down, and for not a lot of money you can have tons of fun. That being so, it’s bare-bones amenities in the form of a 15’x25′ spot and $3 showers. Often noise won’t subside until 5-6am (when security starts shutting parties down), making it the best place to be if you’re looking to continue on past the festival’s 2am closing time. If you plan on camping with friends in other cars, arrive together in line so that attendants can direct you to adjacent spaces.

Premier ($185/vehicle)

This one’s next option up, located right next to Standard, and giving you a roomier 25’x50′ campsite. The area is fenced off, allowing only campers with Premier wristbands inside (maximum 6 per site). You also get free showers, a shuttle service to the Gorge, and private restrooms. For showering, keep in mind that lines will be pretty crazy just about all hours of the day. If you want to wash up, be prepared to bake in the sun for a little while.

Gold ($245/vehicle)

The biggest advantage of Gold: It’s located directly next to the entrance to the festival (the campsite is the same size as Premier’s). You quite literally roll out of your tent, and there’s the Gorge. For anyone who doesn’t want to deal with lengthy shuttle lines or the mile-long walk back to Standard, this is the one for you, especially for only an additional $20. Also includes private restrooms and showers, but the same disclaimer applies toward lines for both.

Terrace ($315/vehicle)

This is most expensive option, but they make it worth your while. It’s located directly below Premier, so the complimentary shuttle service is still very much a necessity. For anyone looking to shower you can typically walk right in; this is the smallest available section of camping, making it so fewer people are taking up the facilities at any given time. Also comes with complimentary morning pastries/coffee, concierge service, and access to all other campsites. A word of advice, jump on this ASAP. This is typically the first to sell out.

[/accordion-group]

To top it all off, you can also purchase lockers once you’re inside the festival (link here), with the Gorge offering you the option of either a $35 regular locker, or a $40 charging one, allowing you to keep your phone’s battery alive in the summer heat. We highly recommend setting aside money now to ensure you have the best possible Paradiso experience — the longer you wait, the higher the likelihood that things start selling out. Now go out and plan your summer right, and we’ll see you at the Gorge this June!
