The German DJ duo Ostblockschlampen knows that just because it’s the holiday season doesn’t mean you can’t break out the glow sticks. They have a released a handful of killer songs in the form of The Freak Parade – EP. After one of their posts reached 5,000, an EP was released, and made available for free download. Listening each of these tracks in succession becomes a levitating experience. It’s nothing but good stuff. Each song is full of slamming beats, reminiscent of Diplo’s chopped and screwed production style and his love for sound effects, Freak Parade achieves hype party status and is a sure fire guarantee to get all the party attendees naked. The entire EP is five hard hitting banger tracks which pound, non-stop. Any potential listener will have a good time. At just under a half-hour, Freak Parade – EP is jam packed with a variety of different sounds picked from all over the world. With animalistic chest-pounding bangers like title track, where each element of the song feels like it’s blasting at full volume, to Al Pancho where the laid back beat and Rastafarian vocal samples makes you think you’re at a chill Sandals resort.
Ostblockschlampen’s production style is a real party starter
The true standout track is Body Pound. The low and dirty vocal sample that growls “make your body pound” is bluntly seductive. Making heart rates climb, the tracks punctuating sound effects, and the stabbing 808 beat will fuel crowds with adrenaline. Basically, Everyone is going to get caught in a sexy tractor beam and there will be no calls for rescue. Another fantastic track is Boi Boi. A chopped and screwed dancehall banger that is like a night of havok. Listening to it will take any and all excitement, and shove it against the ceiling. It’s jaunty, skipping beat along with the stuttering crunchy alarm sounds creates a house/dubstep fusion that will cause eye opening excitement in anyone.
