Eugene, Ore.-native Aaron Jackson is continuing to build off of his 2014 success, with a strong start to 2015 well under way. Jackson has some work to do in order to top last year, in which he performed at Nocturnal Wonderland and Konnexion Music Festival, began his mixtape series, and released an ungodly amount of original tunes and remixes. Despite the high expectations following his breakout year, his latest samplings offer more than enough hope for Jackson’s future.
Taking Time To Relax from Brazilian house veteran Gabe, once known as Wrecked Machines, Jackson had plenty to work with in his latest remix, and doesn’t disappoint. An eclectic styling that lands somewhere between deadmau5 and Tchami, Jackson shows off his (as well as house music’s) versatility. It is being released on Beatport via Audiophile Deep, the deep/tech house subsidiary of Audiophile Live, on Monday, January 19th.
Not stopping there, Jackson followed his remix announcement with the release of the sixth installment of his mixtape series shortly thereafter. Available for free download, a listen to any of the mixes in the series will give you a great taste of what Jackson brings to the table. Never short on bass, feels, or beats that are begging to be danced to, Mixtape Series 6 will be in our rotation for the foreseeable future. The mix is the closest many of us will get to Jackson for a while, as he’s travelling across the pond for various stops throughout February and March in the UK and Europe.
