DMNW is thrilled to introduce you to a rising Oregon native indie artist, Phil Good, by way of k?d, a progressive house/synth pop producer, and his brand new single Lose Myself featuring Phil Good on PRMD Music. The talented producer is sparkling in the realm of electronic music, and has really been making some noise as of late. Good’s indie-pop vibe reminds us of a sound provided by another Oregon-based group, The Shins, but with a modern touch. Folk style vocals combined with electronic production makes for an amazingly unique track, so we’re happy to see these two mixed together.
The track displays k?d’s trademark drums combined with a pulsing bass line and Good’s passionate vocals. Near the 1-minute mark, k?d offers a pitch-sliding melody that grows into a much larger and emotional synth progression. The production integrates elements of both house and future bass, fusing them together to create an ambiance similar to Porter Robinson.
