Oregon Eclipse 2017 is one of the summer’s most anticipated upcoming festivals. To call it just a festival, however, does it a major disservice. Located in the breathtaking Ochoco National Forest, it celebrates the approaching total solar eclipse in the grandiose, heartwarming music festival tradition.
This astounding effort of 13 collaborative forces will feature 7 stages of diverse musical acts. This week-long international gathering will also host a variety of workshops, yoga & movement classes, permaculture and cooking classes. It’s all ages, so you can bring your loved little ones along with you. The festival is all about community, appreciation, celebration and proliferation of the arts. We are impatiently looking forward to celebrating our world and togetherness in Oregon’s beautiful summertime.
What the heck is a solar eclipse? Why should we check it out?
This will be the first total solar eclipse visible to American sky-gazers in nearly four decades, which means the moon will completely block the sun. It won’t hurt your eyes if you’ve got viewing glasses and it will be an incredibly unique experience. Above all, it’s bound to be visually awesome. This total solar eclipse will only be visible in a small section of the United States, so don’t miss out!
So who’s performing at Eclipse? (Rather, Who’s Not Performing?)
An innumerable amount of amazing and unique artists across genres will be there. The diversity and quality of the roster speaks for itself.
You can expect the likes of Bassnectar, Beats Antique, Damien Lazarus, The String Cheese Incident (2 nights), STS9, Desert Hearts (Lee Reynolds, Marbs, Mikey Lion[s], tigers and bears, oh my!), Christian Martin & Justin Martin, Emancipator, G JONES, J. Phlip, Lee Foss, The Gaslamp Killer, Bodhi, Bleep Bloop, Dirtwire, and Machinedrum, just to name a disproportionally small number of the acts. If you want to see the full lineup, feel free to join us in drooling.
With the special opportunity to even book a freakin’ hot air balloon to fly over Big Summit Prairie during the event, we think this happening will practically have it all. How amazing would that be with the impending eclipse? The festival will also feature multitudes of interactive chill-out and theatrical zones, similar to What The Festival does, also in located Oregon. WTFestival’s headliner lineup was also announced recently. You should definitely check out our write-up if you cannot attend.
You can buy tickets, get more info, and check out the astounding lineup for the gathering on their website.
