Marcus Haney may not be a household name, but he’s absolutely legendary for what he’s accomplished. Since Coachella 2010 he’s managed to sneak in to over 50 festivals around the world. His strategies have included forging wristbands, posing as press, a security guard, even as an artist. He’s employed every strategy with confidence and hasn’t let getting caught a few times sway him. He has filmed his hijinks and adventures and has amassed enough footage to be able to create the documentary No Cameras Allowed (after hitting the internet a few days ago, the trailer has been taken down following a copyright claim).
Some his adventures were flat out epic, including getting invited on tour with Mumford and Sons after sending him some of the footage he managed to shoot on one of his festival escapades. The movie doesn’t have a release date yet, but the trailer alone has us incredibly excited to get more of the story of how he managed to pull off what he’s done. We’ll be sure to update you when the movie is on its way to Northwest theaters, this is a story that’s just too good to pass up on seeing.
*It is important to note that Dance Music Northwest does NOT condone sneaking into festivals.
