Odesza and Hayden James are a perfect pair (in terms of musical entities, a trio in terms of bodies). In addition to touring together, they trade tracks back and forth- adding personal pizzazz to each other’s hits. Their styles mesh well together as anyone who has seen their tour live can attest, and that cohesion is reflected in the remixed songs they have released.
Hayden James took his talents to Odesza’s chart-topper “Say My Name” (feat Zyra), giving the breezy summer jam something a little woody and tropical while still allowing it’s signature vocals and catchy lyricism to shine through.
In return, Odesza remixed Hayden James’ “Something About You.” The mellow tune was spiced up with one of Odesza’s usual upbeat melodies and while the song remains recognizable as James’, there’s also something very distinctly Odesza about it.
