Grammy nominations were announced, and Seattle’s own Odesza received two nominations. In the field of Dance/Electronic Music they received a nomination for Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Album. They are in good company with, Bonobo, Mura Masa, Sylvan Esso, LCD Soundsystem, and Gorillaz.
Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight who make up Odesza have been pushing the boundaries on electronic music since they began, from their sound, to visuals and performance. They have been on tour promoting their new album, A Moment Apart which could change anybodies mind about EDM.
They will be making a Seattle stop on their tour, as well, on March 30 & 31. The show on the 31st is already sold out, and the 30th is close behind it. They’re at the WaMu this time, so even if you’ve seen them before, we’re hoping this will be their biggest and best show yet.
We are excited to see such a great local duo doing so well, and making Seattle proud. Tune in Sunday, January 28 on CBS to see who takes the win.
