Between Above & Beyond’s acoustic show early this year and Pretty Lights performing with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, there have been some beautiful small moments where EDM and classical instruments collide. The next in this harmonious relationship between EDM and symphonies will be a show performed by Noisia and the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra. Noisia will play EDM responses to classical music played by members of the orchestra. Thijs de Vlieger from Noisia will also be composing a special piece that will be heard for the first time that night.
Some of us were fortunate enough to get to experience Noisia this Saturday when they found a safe harbor at Q Nightclub after Freaknight’s cancellation. The set was absolutely beautiful and we can’t wait to see them with a symphony. We have no doubt that it will be an experience to envy. If you’re lucky enough to be able to be in the vicinity of Groningen November 15th or are able to quickly arrange travel, the tickets to the Noisea and North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra are still available.
