“Welcome creatures of the night!”
Over the past weekend, we took a trip down the rabbit hole and entered Insomniac Events’ longest-running music festival, Nocturnal Wonderland. Everyone from around the world gathered together to experience this massive magical blacklight party. There was something for everyone – from Nocturnal veterans to first-time ravers – in the land full of interactive art and endless music.
Let’s review some of the features and highlights of this year’s event!
Location & Stages:
This year, Nocturnal Wonderland took place on September 14th and 15th at the Glen Helen Regional Park located in San Bernadino, California.
Insomniac Events has curated quite the impressive lineup from the bass music scene as well as house and techno for this year’s magical two-night event. Dozens of heavy-hitting artists played across four booming stages: Wolves’ Den, Labyrinth, Sunken Garden, and Boombox Art Car.

Highlights:
Illenium
Nick Miller, or better known by his stage name Illenium, has been taking the dance music world by storm. He recently started to open up more about his past, from his struggles to him finding his light through making music, delivering the heartfelt hits like Take You Down and more.
Following his performance at Bumbershoot, we were more than excited to see what he has planned for his loyal fans – dubbed Illenials – next. Nocturnal Wonderland has been teasing fans on social media with posts about Illenium bringing a brand new show to Nocturnal Wonderland. Illenium also dropped an exclusive Nocturnal mix to get fans hyped for his performance.
Named AWAKE 2.0, his new live show was nothing like we have seen before. From stage production, visuals, and remixes, his show could only be described with one word: magical. Shouts of encouragement could be heard from the crowd as proud fans cheered in support.
Illenium also dropped his newest unreleased song, which brought the sea of Illenials chills as they could only stand and watch in awe.
Jai Wolf
From playing at EDC Las Vegas to wrapping up his summer tour, Jai Wolf has been hard at work this year. He has started his own web series called ‘Chasing Places’, and released his latest single in collaboration with Chelsea Jade, titled Lost.
Jai Wolf took to the Wolves’ Den to bring the crowd together with his sultry tones for a feel-good time. He played a remix of Good Enough by Alison Wonderland. He later posted on Twitter that he made the edit exclusively for Nocturnal Wonderland, and will never play it again.

NGHTMRE & SLANDER Present: Gud Vibrations
Whenever bass and trap favorites NGHTMRE or SLANDER takes the stage, we are guaranteed a great time. The trio has always never failed to deliver some ‘Gud Vibrations’ with jaw-dropping sets time and time again.
For the first time ever, they debuted THE ATOM stage at Nocturnal and treated us to a party. They played bangers after bangers as the sea of fans headbanged to their hearts’ content for a whole 2.5 hours.
The producers also took time to speak to their fans. Their voices cracked at times as they tearfully expressed their gratitude for their unyielding support over the years.
