It’s been nearly seven years since the world received new music from Deadmau5 and Steve Duda in the form of BSOD. Also known as, “Blue Screen Of Death”, the duo has a brand new single to be released on April 10th. Named No Way, Get Real, the title reminds us of a certain hilarious piece of internet literature, though unlikely to be related. Through these uncertain times it’s exciting to see Deadmau5 and Steve Duda reanimate such a legendary project. Catch a quick clip of No Way, Get Real from Deadmau5’s Twitter below!

Those of you who haven’t heard of BSOD until now, should also know of the musical genius that is Steve Duda. Creator of one of the world’s most highly used synthesizer plugin Serum, Steve Duda’s work completely influenced music production. Serum is owned by his own record label, Xfer Records. Not only is Steve Duda an audio and software engineer but obviously a renowned DJ as well. Turning the duo of BSOD up a notch brought forth the group collaboration of WTF?, featuring Steve Duda, Deadmau5, DJ Aero and Tommy Lee.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, EDM artists have picked up streaming in order to reach their audience. While Deadmau5 is infamously known for his streaming abilities, it’s yet to be officially announced whether or not he would follow suit. Two weeks ago on a subreddit page a fan asked, “Idea: Covid-19 on-line concert? I would pay! May the Goat Lord hear my prayer..” To which roused a response from Deadmau5 himself stating, “I’m working on something.” Whatever happens, we’re ready for anything the Goat Lord does manage to spin up for his quarantined fans.
