Last Saturday, bass music giant NGHTMRE treated Seattle to a night full of holiday spirit and jolly bass at his Seattle stop of his annual NGHTMRE Before XMAS tour. Not slowing down anytime soon, the bass music producer has teamed up with Big Gigantic to offer us a genre-blending collaboration like no other.
Titled Like That, the song strikes the perfect blend of bass, funk, trap, and hip hop. NGHTMRE dropped the new track during his set last weekend, and the energy and positive response from fans at the Tacoma Dome was nothing short of epic. The track kicks off with a funky saxophone coupled with a vintage vocal line that builds up into a bass filled drop that’s entirely signature to NGHTMRE’s sounds.
“Some of my first festivals I ever attended I saw Big Gigantic perform and immediately fell in love with their vibe. After meeting the guys on the road and getting along so well, it was an honor to work together on some music,” says NGHTMRE on collaborating with the festival mainstays whose work he’s admired for years. “They are both so talented and I really feel like this song represents us both well.”
NGHTMRE is currently on his NGHTMRE Before XMAS tour with dates through the end of the year in SF, LA, Boston, DC, NY, and more – tickets and more info here.
