We’ve been documenting the rapid rate at which deadmau5 has been producing music for awhile now, but his newest batch of releases may very well be the best one yet. Over the course of about 24 hours he’s uploaded 10 brand new tracks, varying in length from 45 seconds to almost 3 minutes. Each track carries with it the darker, smooth sound Joel’s been experimenting with in recent months, and serves only to make us want more (which recently hasn’t been too much of a problem).
While producing music at breakneck speed, he became a reluctant nominee thanks to MTV for “Best Canadian Act,” with the likes of Justin Bieber, Drake, Tegan & Sara, and The Weeknd. Never one to shy away from voicing his opinion, he was far from impressed.
meh. can i somehow opt out of this? @mtvema

In a culture flush with awards and accolades, it’s refreshing to see an artist who understands what really matters. You keep making music Joel, we’ll keep listening.
