Louis the Child is back with another genre-bending song. Free featuring Drew Love on vocals is Louis the Child in peak lyrical experimentation. In the initial moments, it appears time stands still, but Free slowly progresses with a full-on drop at the three-minute mark.

At first, we only have 2 instruments, Drew Love’s voice combined with a layer of white ambient noise. Louis the child add multiple layers of piano, note after note, until fully incorporating a house kick drum.
Don’t be confused, this isn’t just another pop song. Free is a lyrical song that goes into multiple directions. Drew Love has his own lyrical moment for around 30 seconds before an initial soft drop adds in a second house beat.
“At least you’re freeeeeeeee.” Around the three minute mark is when this single becomes hard to define. Free bounces quickly from trap to house BPM. Louis the Child experimented hard and found a way to combine both of these genres into a piece of production. They have created a masterpiece begging to be replayed.
