We’ll come right out and say; Never Say Die has been destroying 2016, and proving that dubstep is FAR from dead. Their monster lineup of artists have hit the dubstep scene with full force. The last XL release from Never Say Day: Black Label, XL3 mixed by Magalodon, saw massive numbers on SoundCloud and introduced us to some of the summer’s heaviest drops. The highly anticipated XXL release is no different and already has us dying, pun intended, for the full track list.
The privilege of mixing XXL goes to non other than the “Dj’s Dj'” and head of Never Say Die Records, SKisM. His last Black Label release, XL has seen nearly half a million plays on SoundCloud just over a year after it’s release. For the last 5 years, Tom Petals’s double drop, 4 deck mixing has been on tour turning heads and dropping jaws. Truly a master of the craft, his mixes have gained as much, if not more, hype than his tracks themselves. It’s only right that the man behind Never Say Die introduces us to the newest bangers. Sprinkled with a few courtesy tracks from Disciple, Firepower, and SMOG records, the 50 track mix is seriously gunning for mix of the year; in our eyes (and ears) at least.
With about half of the mix still a mystery, we’re anticipating the release of all of the tracks on September 23rd. With a few remixes from already massive Never Say Die tracks, we look forward to seeing the ID-ID portion of the track list filled out. XXL will certainly be a standard to be upheld for future mixes to come, and SKisM has once again proven to the dubstep world he’s on top of his game.
