For all of the electronic music fans who are equally obsessive about Shark Week, this ought to make your day. Deserving every last bit of praise for music production, the bass lords of Nero have outdone themselves yet again, landing a track on the official ad premiere of Discovery Channel’s Shark Week 2014. While the track, Me And You, is already a couple years old, it just goes to show how long it takes the mainstream to catch up with real electronic music; That being said, Me And You was and still is an explosive dubstep masterpiece, one that’s fit for a fearless seaman to rope and ride two sharks one-handed while feeding the vicious and deadly sea creatures with the other, mermaid babe in tow.

While nothing will ever out-live their Snuffy The Seal ad, we found this advertisement pretty entertaining. What may be the most humorous, however, is the comment trolls jumping on every single opportunity to respond with “Darude Sandstorm” when unknowing YouTubers ask for the track ID. Also on the list of additional laughs is the genuine comments of how to make the commercial even sweeter, like Buck Dangle’s comment below. Perhaps they are trying to level-up the ad to match the grandeur of Sharknado 2. Regardless, we are happy for Nero and other electronic artists making it big in other ventures outside of the festival scene.
Shark Week kicks off this Sunday, August 10th at 6pm PST on the Discovery Channel. For more information on programming, visit the Shark Week website.
