After a few false dawns, hours of analyzing cryptic tweets, and a couple BBC Radio 1 premieres, we now have a release date for British trio NERO’s sophomore album. Following up their massively successful debut, Welcome Reality in 2011, Between II Worlds drops on August 28th. Announcing the release date via their social media accounts, NERO has ended the long wait for fans of the popular group, which had previously expected an album sometime last year. Regardless of past delays, there’s now a tangible date to circle on the calendar as we neurotically wait for more new NERO.
But, that’s not all! Doubling their total track releases from last year, NERO coupled the album announcement with the release of the title-track. With Between II Worlds, NERO have released three of the album’s 12 tunes, including 2014’s Satisfy, and The Thrill, which was released last month.
Each song different than the last, this batch of NERO tunes has us dreaming of not only their upcoming album, but of a Northwest visit as well. It’s been a while since Northwest NERO fans have been treated to such an event, and we think it’s over-due. With a new album out, there’s no reason a stop in Seattle shouldn’t be on the docket for sometime in 2015.
