We haven’t had a moment of silence from Porter Robinson all summer. We’ve caught a new remix, a World’s live edit, and now a third single from Nurture. This time the teaser came in the form of a mirror reflecting the sky. The easy guess for any upcoming single from Robinson is from the finale of his Secret Sky set, Look at the Sky. The surprise twist was that he actually released Mirror.

With the help of a lyric sheet Mirror shows it’s true form. Distorted and pitched up lyrics become clean and clear. This is the second Nurture single where Robinson switches from his natural voice to a new higher pitched version. We’ve touched on how Robinson’s music has helped us in 2020, and we have to thank him for helping us again.
How does Mirror make you feel? For the past week we’ve been stunned and ecstatic. Robinson’s goal is always to create new, unique, and exciting sounds. The easy definition for Mirror is that this is something else. Hardly any songs compare and he completely breaks all genre definitions.
What else is there to say About Mirror? We want to talk about the outro that Robinson sampled from The School of Life.
“Sometimes, the inner voice is encouraging; calling for you to run those final few yards
You’re nearly there, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going
It will all be okay in the end”
Hands down one of the most beautiful ways to end an original track. Keep sharing new music with us Porter and we will keep replaying it.
