West-coast Space Bass heavyweight Minnesota is furthering his quest to provide out-of-this-world future bass for the people by releasing his highly anticipated Voyager EP, for free. The release features six stellar tracks crafted by the cosmic wizard himself and is available for direct download on his website MinnMusic. As the name implies, the sound-scapes are ethereal, spacey, and driven faster and higher than a NASA space-shuttle at takeoff.
Perhaps the most anticipated offering in the album is Thunderdome, a collaboration with fellow bass scientist G Jones that takes no prisoners and spares no shy listeners a drop of mercy. When we first heard the aforementioned track dropped in Greg’s Low End Theory set, we couldn’t stop rewinding and rinsing out the damn thing until the computer shut down from the amount of carnage, bass, and desk flipping going on- it is that good.
Words don’t exactly do this masterpiece justice, so we invite you to tune in, strap up, and prepare for liftoff: It’s space bass time.
