8. Movement Electronic Music Festival – May 24-26
Hart Plaza – Detroit, MI
If you’re looking for something to do this coming Memorial Day Weekend, Movement Music Festival is definitely a spot to consider. Starting in 2000, this festival was known as Detroit Electronic Music Festival for the first three years. After that, it was known as Movement, and Fuse-In. It has since been Movement Electronic Music Festival since 2006 and has no plans on changing aliases again.
In previous years this festival has seen artists such as: Deadmau5, Bassnectar, Benny Benassi, A-Trak, TOKiMONSTA, which is not even touching a percentage of the artists that have performed at this festival. This year there will be over 90 artists. A few highly anticipated acts include DJ Snake, Ryan Hemsworth, Pete Tong, and dozens more. 3-day passes start at $130, with an optional payment plan for GA and VIP. Tickets for the more preferential treatment, like 6 complimentary drinks, massage and more are $260. This festival is reasonably priced for Memorial Day Weekend and, an added bonus, it is all ages – so you can spend the day with family as well as enjoy your favorite artists.
