5. Shambhala Music Festival – August 6-11
Salmo River Ranch – Salmo, BC
When it comes to festivals with a story to tell, Shambhala might have the best of them all. This festival is about raw as you can get. Since the beginning of the festival in 1998, it has grown strictly by word of mouth with no paid advertising. When most festivals struggle to survive even with a larger investing group, some people starting their own music festivals still know its much like gambling at a casino. Each year the lineup continues to rapidly evolve while still holding true to their roots. Pretty Lights, Excision, Bassnectar and several other bass-kings are known for making regular appearances year after year due to the amazing vibe and festival experience offered here. They also offer their own branding of their own food inside the festival grounds.
Tickets are now in Tier 2 pricing at $305, then will raise to Tier 3 priced at $330. Those prices are for attending August 8-11. You will need separate tickets purchased to go for the full 6 days. This is only part of the lineup, with the full lineup being released April 8th:
