Originally named “The Rothbury Music Festival” in 2008 and 2009, the festival took a hiatus for a few years before coming back in 2011 under the new name – Electric Forest – but still held at the same location. After the festival came back, Insomniac and Madison’s Playhouse took responsibility of putting it all together. Both were originated on the idea of having jam bands like STS9, Thievery Corporation and several others along with popular EDM acts like Pretty Lights, Girl Talk, Bassnectar, Madeon, Knife Party, Above & Beyond and several others acts along the years as well. This year, the lineup is boasting acts like The String Cheese Incident, Zedd, Steve Angello, The Glitch Mob, Matt & Kim, Moby, Zeds Dead, Stephen Marley and several others More acts are expected to be confirmed closer to the festival.
Tickets are currently on Regular Tiered Pricing at $265 for a 4-day pass. Although there is no VIP within the festival grounds, you can upgrade your campsite and either have it set up upon your arrival or even kick it up a notch by renting log cabins.
