The combination of local talent and incredible venues that we have in the Northwest has spoiled dance music fans for years. From local clubs and massives, to festivals throughout our corner of the continent, dance music fans in the PNW don’t have much to complain about. This summer, at Paradiso 2016, we’ll be getting treated to some of the best Northwest DJs at the premier venue in our region, and we couldn’t be more excited.
Keeping track of these spectacular shows, and the ever-growing list of local DJs, isn’t easy. We’ve made it easier than in the past, with our new Club Hub, as well as our DJ Database, providing the only one-stop place for all of the local Northwest dance music info you could ask for.
Sets from our Northwest favorites, especially at major festivals, are always worth the relatively early arrival. The likes of Aaron Jackson, Beauflexx, Darrius, and more are can’t miss sets, regardless of time, for any Northwest dance music fan. Couple these great, local DJ’s abilities with the atmosphere of The Gorge, and the rest is why we love festivals like Paradiso.
Supporting local artists and venues is always a big deal, and a huge reason with the Northwest dance music scene is as vibrant as any in North America. We have the artists, the venues, and the passionate fan bases, with little reason not to support these great shows. We’re gearing up for Paradiso, one daydream at a time, and have broken down some of our favorite ‘Diso debuts coming to The Gorge this summer. While not all of these locals are making their debuts at Paradiso this year, they each deserve a spotlight for their work around and representing the Northwest. So, we went in-depth with our local artists, who we won’t be missing at Paradiso 2016.
Aaron Jackson – Eugene, OR
A Northwest artists whose productions have been making as much noise as his sets, Aaron Jackson is one of the most well-rounded local acts in the PNW. The Eugene-native has successfully integrated himself as a UK Garage/Bass House mainstay, with releases on labels like Heldeep Records, Perfect Driver Music, and many more.
His list of festival performances over the years is impressive as well, with sets at EDC-Las Vegas, Nocturnal Wonderland, and dozens of other West Coast festivals. This summer is no different, with a packed slate of shows on the schedule. He’ll be making stops in Portland, Los Angeles, Seattle, Idaho, Canada, and many more NW locales. Beauflexx – Spokane, WA
A Northwest-favorite far beyond his home in Spokane, Beauflexx’s sets are always top-notch. Placing him at The Gorge is a recipe for greatness, and the bass-centric artist is undoubtedly cooking up something special for us all. We’ve been treated to his live-sets in the past, at various Northwest festivals and clubs, and have his name written clearly in pen under the ‘don’t miss’ column.
He’s also been focusing on productions a bit more recently, releasing several bootlegs and originals over the last few months. We’re excited to follow his progress, and are hoping to catch a few of the new tunes live in-person at The Gorge. One of the best DJs, and better people, in the NW dance music scene, make some time for Beauflexx’s Paradiso performance this summer.
