Mat Zo brings back his funky beats in his new track Get Down 2 Get Up ft. The Knocks. Mat Zo and The Knocks put their heads together to create this laid back smooth track, perfect for the summer months ahead. As promised Mat Zo released his track for free on SoundCloud.
The trio keep us alive with their funky baseline and goofy lyrics. Get Down 2 Get Up is reminiscent of early 90s/late 80s hip-hop with its disc turns and carefree feel. Mat Zo and The Knocks constantly remind us to “get on down” throughout this fun funky jam. If this song doesn’t have you getting on down, then you better check yourself before you wreck yourself (and any other cliché you can think of).
Mat Zo is set to play at Paradiso and is sure to not disappoint. If he’s laying down tracks like Get Down 2 Get Up, we are in for quite a ride. We cannot wait to be hearing songs like this being played on the side of the cliff at the Gorge.
