Trance legend Markus Schulz has collaborated with some of the best vocalists in dance music throughout his illustrious career. One name that’s been missing?: Emma Hewitt. But, that’s all about to change. The Unicorn Slayer and the immaculate Australian singer/songwriter have joined forces, and, the result? Well, take a look (and listen) for yourself!
A master in the art of open-to-close solo sets, Schulz made his Seattle return following his headlining performance at Bliss: Transcendence, USC Event’s trance massive last Spring. Guiding the crowd through both the dark and uplifting worlds of trance, Schulz played sounds old and new for a little over 3.5 hours. He kept talk on the microphone to a minimum- focusing more on the music, while (non-verbally) engaging the crowd.
While this untitled collaboration wasn’t the only new Markus Schulz song we recognized, it was the only one he verbally highlighted- getting on the microphone to tell the crowd about this new gem he made with Emma Hewitt. Once he put the mic down, and let the track, and accompanying visuals, play out: complete euphoria. As good as his recent Nine Skies Dakota material is, it’s nice to see him go back to uplifting trance.
This ID currently no release date, and we are dying to hear the full version. What do you think about the song? Let us know in the comments below!
